To be eligible for the NBHL program you need:
- NB Health Link services are for patients who don’t have a primary care provider (Physician or Nurse Practitioner).

For information about how your information is collected, used, and disclosed as part of this service, please review our privacy notice.
Please note that NB Health Link is working to increase capacity for resources in some areas of the province. Depending on the area in which you live, you may be placed on a waitlist as the capacity for resources increases.
Waitlisting vs. Registration:
Patients who are registered with NB Health Link as well as those who are waitlisted are both on the list to be permanently matched with a care provider. The difference is that those registered with NB Health Link have access to the program’s network of physicians and nurse practitioners while they wait to be permanently matched, while those who have been waitlisted will have access to the program’s services once registered with NB Health Link.
You will be notified after registration that you are either on a waitlist or will receive a welcome package with information on how to book an appointment. It may take several weeks after registration before you will receive either confirmation regarding a waitlist or confirmation of registration. New registrations are removed from the waitlist in order of their date of registration with the program only (first come first served basis).
"In designated Health Zones within the province, such as Zone 1 (Moncton and the South-East Area), and Zone 3 (Fredericton and the River Valley Area), new registrants may be wait-listed for the program until capacity increases. Wait-listing involves registering without immediate appointment booking capabilities until capacity expands. Upon registration, individuals will receive confirmation regarding their wait-list status and no further action is required, a notification procedures for accessing our services will be sent from the program once the patient is out of the waitlist.”
The program plays a crucial role in our community by maintaining the list of patients to be matched to a permanent family doctor or nurse practitioner. Once registered, the patient will automatically become part of the list where those waiting the longest will be the first to be matched, once one Provider becomes available in their area.
