NB Health Link gives New Brunswickers who do not have a family doctor or a nurse practitioner options to access healthcare services over the phone, online or in person, until they can be matched with a long-term provider.

Please note that NB Health Link is working to increase capacity for resources in some areas of the province. Depending on the area in which you live, you may be placed on a waitlist as capacity for resources increases. 

You will be notified after registration that you are either on a waitlist or will receive a welcome package with information on how to book an appointment. It may take several weeks after registration before you will receive either confirmation regarding a waitlist or confirmation of registration. New registrations are taken off of the waitlist in order of their date of registration with the program only (first come first served basis).

Please Note:

  • NB Health Link services are for patients who don’t have a primary care provider (physician or Nurse Practitioner).
  • You must have a valid NB Medicare card to register.
  • NB Health Link accepts referrals on a first come, first serve basis by area.
  • Once registered, patients have access to services by booking an appointment.
  • Once registered, patients are placed on a list to be matched to a permanent provider once one becomes available in their area. Those waiting the longest will be the first to be matched to a provider.
  • Please make sure NB Health Link has your most current telephone number and address.

Patients who have registered with NB Health Link will have access to the Patient Portal. When logging in to the Patient Portal, please use your Medicare number as your identification.
